Daniela Vecchi

A fashion designer and artist who rediscovers and weaves together tailoring cultures from around the world

Daniela Vecchi built her style on the move — between Liguria, Lake Como, London, Japan and the United Arab Emirates, through years of travel that brought her into direct contact with ethnic fabrics in markets, ateliers and workshops around the world.

Her work is born from this research. African, Japanese, Middle Eastern, Asian fabrics — selected one by one, brought to Italy, crafted with the precision of her atelier. The result is an aesthetic that defies easy labelling: ethno-chic, some have called it. Daniela prefers to say that every garment tells a journey.

Her collections don't come out twice a year with a seasonal name. They grow, transform, follow the rhythm of research. Those who choose Daniela Vecchi don't buy a dress of the moment — they buy something that will still make sense to wear ten years from now.

Today Daniela works between Como, where her journey began, and Lavagna, where she spends the summer in her atelier a few steps from the sea. She brings her collections to Milan, Rome and around Italy — in carefully chosen spaces, for an audience that already knows what it's looking for.
